Phillip Dang - Wushu Reel
Phillip Dang is a dedicated martial artist, coach, and leader in the Wushu community with over 30 years of experience. He began training in contemporary Wushu in 1994 in Portland, OR and eventually went on to earn a place on the USA Wushu A-Team, representing the United States at the World Wushu Championships in Hanoi, Vietnam (2005) and Ankara, Turkey (2011).
From 2002 to 2006, Phillip served as the head coach of the University of Oregon Wushu Club, where he guided athletes to national recognition. A four-time Collegiate Wushu Men’s All-Around Champion and two-time CMAT Men’s All-Around Champion at UC Berkeley (2009, 2010), he is recognized as one of the nation’s most accomplished competitors.
In 2012, Phillip co-founded Summit Wushu Academy in Portland, Oregon with his brother and top level USA Wushu athlete, Peter Dang - who continues to develop athletes and promote Wushu at the international level.
Phillip Dang is now dedicated to bringing authentic Chinese martial arts training to the Atlanta area!
Phillip Dang is a professional stunt performer and lifelong martial artist with over three decades of experience in Wushu. He has brought his precision and athleticism to major studio projects including Karate Kid: Legends (2025), Cobra Kai (2021), The Paper Tigers (2019) and Mulan (2020).
Phillip has extensively trained in boxing, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Karate and is skilled in fight choreography, and utility stunts.
